Hawaii Commercial Real Estate (HCRE) is proud to work every day in support of Honolulu’s urban core, with a particular focus on Downtown and Chinatown. These historic neighborhoods are not only central to the city’s economy, but also to its culture, creativity, and sense of place.

A key part of that commitment comes through our people. Hey Ho, a member of the HCRE team, specializes in the management and leasing of several landmark Chinatown properties, including Maunakea Marketplace, the Armstrong Building, and the Liberty Bank Building, among others. Through his work, Hey partners closely with local business owners, tenants, and community members to activate spaces, support small businesses, and promote responsible long-term stewardship.

As an extension of these efforts, Hey recently ran for and was elected to the Chinatown Neighborhood Board. This role allows him to contribute directly to conversations around safety, economic vitality, preservation, and thoughtful growth—bringing a practical, on-the-ground perspective shaped by daily experience in the district.

At HCRE, we believe that successful commercial real estate is deeply connected to strong, healthy neighborhoods. Hey’s election reflects our broader philosophy: that improving the places where we work benefits property owners, tenants, residents, and the community as a whole.

We congratulate Hey on his election and look forward to continuing our work in Chinatown with renewed energy and collaboration.
